Saint Maria Goretti Parish: 500 Northgate Dr. — Saint Maria Goretti Parish will have a 5K Food Pantry Run/Walk at 8 a.m. June 8, with packet pick up beginning at 7 a.m. The cost of the race will be $30 for adults and $15 for children. The price of the ticket will include shirts, timed race and breakfast, and the spectator donation is $10 for breakfast. Cathedral of the Holy Angels: 640 Tyler St. — Two deacons will be ordained into the Catholic priesthood at 10:30 a.m. June 1 at the Cathedral of the Holy Angels. Bishop Robert McClory will ordain Deacon Steve Caraher, 28, and Deacon Zach Glick, 29, as Roman Catholic priests to serve the Diocese of Gary. Deacon Caraher is from Munster, and graduated from Munster High School, while Deacon Glick graduated from Highland High School. Deacon Glick will celebrate his first Mass at 2 p.m. June 2 at his home parish, Our Lady of Grace, located at 325 Highway Ave. in Highland. Deacon Caraher will celebrate his first Mass at 10 a.m. June 2 at his home parish, St. Thomas More, located at 8435 Calumet Ave. in Munster. First Baptist Church: 626 W. 21st Ave. — First Baptist Church will mark its 116th anniversary with a three-day revival from June 5 to June 7. The festivities will continue with a special program during morning worship service June 9, followed by a banquet. Past and present members and the community at large are welcome to attend the various worship experiences. The revival will begin 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, with the worship service June 9 at 10 a.m. The banquet after worship service will be at Lake Etta Banquet Center with entertainment provided by Billy Foster Trio. Marquette Park United Methodist Church: 215 N. Grand Blvd. — All are welcome to worship at 11:15 a.m. Sundays at Marquette Park United Methodist Church. There will be refreshments to follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine: 5755 Pennsylvania St. — The seventh annual pilgrimage of Polish truckers and RV’s will begin with a Holy Mass in Polish at 12 p.m. June 9. The mass will be followed by the Fatima Devotion, the blessing of the trucks and RV’s and a picnic on the shrine grounds. There will also be a competition for “Most Beautiful Truck” around 11:30 a.m., with trophies awarded to top participants. Those who will not attend Mass but would like their truck or RV blessed should arrive before 1 p.m. For more information, call 219-884-0714.

Round the Clock Schererville: 909 W. Lincoln Hwy. — There will be a lunch with Pastor Laurel Hamilton of Immanuel Presbyterian Church Schererville from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. June 7. There is no agenda, no programs or plans. Attendees are able to show up and talk about whatever is desired while enjoying fellowship with the pastor. For more information 219-865-2686.
