Ever since Taylor Swift amended her “no repeats” rule for the surprise song section of her tour, she’s been focusing more on mashing up familiar favorites rather than crossing off the handful of songs left to be played. But during her June 8 concert in Edinburgh, Scotland, Swift shocked us all by finally performing a song many Swifties weren’t even sure she remembered: “Crazier” from the soundtrack of The Hannah Montana Movie. Swift performed the song, which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, on the piano, as a mash-up with “All of the Girls You Loved Before.” The mash-ups continued on guitar, with Swift playing both “The Bolter” and “Getaway Car.” “Crazier” marks one of her few songs off a movie soundtrack that Swift has performed on tour, which means there’s hope yet that she’ll get around to “Beautiful Ghosts” from Cats. Also still yet to be played are “Sweeter than Fiction” from One Chance, “Only the Young” from Miss Americana, and “Carolina” from Where the Crawdads Sing. It’s key that Swift checks all of these songs off the list as soon as possible — so that she has no choice but to eventually treat us to “Macavity.”
