In January, playwright Max Wolf Friedlich told Vulture that if the theater industry wants to survive, ”we need 30-year-old bros to get onboard thinking this is a cool thing.” He’s going to get the chance to do just that on Broadway this summer. Job, Friedrich’s internet-age parable about a tech worker and her therapist, is moving to the Hayes Theater this summer following two off-Broadway runs. The production will keep its cast, with Sydney Lemmon (Succession) returning as techie Jane and Peter Friedman (also Succession) returning as therapist Lloyd. Michael Herwitz is directing. Previews begin July 15 and the production opens July 30; it will run in a limited engagement through September 29. The perfect summer show to bring your fintech brother who tries to dap up everybody he meets to.
