Aquaman seems to be handling divorce nicely. On Monday, just five months after officially ending his marriage to Lisa Bonet, Jason Momoa put to bed any lingering Eiza González dating rumors by hard launching his boo on Instagram. In a slideshow from the actor’s trip to Japan — where he was filming a series about Harley-Davidson bikes called On the Roam — Momoa referenced an “amazing adventure with mi amor” while pictured cuddled up to someone new. “Japan, you are a dream come true, you blew my mind,” he wrote in the caption. “We’re so thankful for everyone who opened their homes, making memories with new friends and old friends, sharing another amazing adventure with mi amor.”

“Mi amor,” if you’re wondering, is 32-year-old actress Adria Arjona, who most recently starred in the Richard Linklater film Hit Man with Glen Powell. From all appearances, the newly minted couple seemed quite snugly as they were photographed cuddling at dinner tables, by the beach, and on or around a variety of motorcycles. Arjona, who is Puerto Rican, is the first partner Momoa has publicly cozied up to since his six-year marriage to Bonet ended — officially, anyway. Momoa was linked to González earlier this year, but neither of the rumored pair ever confirmed or commented on the matter.
While the ink on Momoa’s divorce papers may still be drying, all evidence points to his ex-wife likely being pretty chill when it comes to the 44-year-old moving on. Over two years ago, when the former couple first announced their plans to divorce, Momoa made clear that he and Bonet were “still a family” with or without a marriage license and planned to amicably co-parent their kids, 16-year-old Lola and 15-year-old Nakoa-Wolf. Soon enough, I’m sure Arjona will get acquainted with this modern family’s embrace of “the squeeze and changes of these transformational times.” Luckily for Arjona, of all the complicated familial drama in Hollywood, this crew seems to be the most well adjusted of the bunch. Cheers to the happy-seeming couple and to chill ex-wives.
