“My name is Dua Lipa, or as some people call me, Dula Peep,” the first time host said at the top of her Saturday Night Live monologue, referencing the iconic Wendy Williams-ism turned nickname. She then pointed out her “cool” parents in the audience who “love to party,” telling a story of bumping into them while she was out with her friends at the club at three o’clock in the morning. “Which was embarrassing, because the last thing you want to see when you’re super high and drunk off your ass…is your daughter.” After putting her Radical Optimism album title to the test by doling out some advice to audience members, she said that everybody, including herself, has problems. For example, there are people who claim she’s always on vacation, or the “people who called my dancing lazy and said ‘Go girl, give us nothing.’ But I didn’t give you nothing, I gave you the greatest meme of all time.”
