The children yearn for the mines, and so do the monkies. They’re our animal ancestors, after all. Universal Studios Orlando announced that Super Nintendo World is coming to Universal Epic Universe, its new, upcoming theme park, sometime in 2025. It includes Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country; the latter is making its debut in the U.S. as Mario Land is small but mighty at Universal Studio Hollywood. As for new-to-us additions, we’re finally getting Yoshi’s Adventure, where you travel through the Mushroom Kingdom with all the colorful Yoshis. In general, life needs more little turtle, dinosaur guys are a primary mode of transportation.

If you thought Donkey Kong would be cozy next to Princess Peach’s castle, do you know nothing about Mario lore? It’s in a completely separate, tropical area where instead of riding Yoshis, you’re riding mine carts in Mine-Cart Madness, where you literally (ok, not literally) jump the tracks just like in the game. We need a moment of appreciation that there are no screens for this ride.
