Young Sheldon is closing its nerdy little doors on May 16. Normally, I’d say, “But what show will TikTokers clip in a nonsensical order now?” but every show that pops up on my timeline is no younger than 2013. So Sheldy will live on. Speaking to his peers, Iain Armitage, who plays Sheldon (Young), posted a TikTok with Sheldon (Old) Jim Parsons teasing his cameo in the series finale. “So apparently, there’s a new filter that shows you what you look like when you grow up,” begins Armitage as he taps the screen to reveal Parsons on the other end. “Hmmm I’m not sure about this. Oh, it changes your voice too,” joked Parsons in very non-Old Sheldon-like clothing. Where is his Flash shirt? A polo feels too formal but guess it is a special occasion.
Alongside Parsons, Mayim Bialik returns as Amy Farrah Fowler for the finale. They’ll both be the first and only cast members to reprise their roles because… duh, it’s a prequel.
