NYC asks judge to order house arrest for ‘worst landlord’ in one of his own buildings

City lawyers are asking the court to extend the landlords stay at Rikers, or move him into one of the apartments he owns.

The request from a city attorney is reminiscent of the 1991 film "The Super," in which a landlord played by Joe Pesci is forced to live in his own crumbling apartment building. [ more › ]
