5 shot, including 15-year-old girl, on West Side, Chicago police say

Five people were shot, including a 15-year-old girl, in Humboldt Park early Monday morning, according to police. 

Officers responded to shots fired around 12:45 a.m. in the 900 block of North Pulaski Road. Five people were shot and transported to area hospitals following the shooting, police said.

The 15-year-old girl sustained a gunshot wound to the neck and was transported to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. 

An 18-year-old female was shot twice in the back and transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition. A 19-year-old female was shot in the arm and also brought to Mount Sinai in fair condition.

A 35-year-old man was shot in the foot and transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in fair condition. A 25-year-old man sustained one gunshot wound to the buttocks and was transported to Stroger in fair condition. 

A 33-year-old woman who had broken her ankle was also transported to St. Mary’s in fair condition.

The preliminary investigation indicates that an offender fled the scene on foot after opening fire on the group.

Area Four Detectives are investigating. There is no one in custody.
