Man killed, woman injured in Austin shooting, police say

A 30-year-old man was killed and a 31-year-old woman injured in a Saturday shooting in the Austin neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

The victims were inside a vehicle in the 3000 block of North Cicero Avenue when a gunman in an unknown car pulled up and fired shots around 2:32 a.m., police said. The pair drove themselves to Community First Hospital. 

The man, who was shot in the flank, was pronounced dead at the hospital, and the woman is listed in critical condition, police said. 

No suspects are in custody, and police said they are investigating the shooting.
