Woman, 33, in critical condition, among 3 shot overnight at gathering on West Side

A 33-year-old  woman was in critical condition Friday night following a shooting that wounded two others in the Austin neighborhood, Chicago police said.

About 10:20 p.m., the victim was in a backyard with other people in the 500 block of North Laramie Avenue when shots were fired, striking her to the abdomen. She was taken to Stroger Hospital where she was listed in critical condition, police said.

A 42-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the head and also was taken to the same hospital and listed in good condition. A third victim, a 49-year-old woman, suffered a wound to the left shoulder and was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
