NYC’s tough new shelter rules for migrants kick in. The impacts remain to be seen.

Migrants waited in line outside the city's reticketing center in the East Village on Wednesday morning to reapply for shelter, after their 30- and 60-day stays came to an end. The size of the line fluctuated throughout the morning.

Wednesday was the first day that adult migrants at the end of their stay limits could be evicted from city shelters, with some exceptions. [ more › ]
