Steve “How do you do, fellow kids?” Buscemi is on a short list of living treasure character actors. You’ve got Buscemi, Everybody’s in LA announcer Richard Kind, and the Special Thirst Trap Unit’s Chris Meloni. So it’s abominable that someone in NY has done him dirty. The New York Post is reporting that Steve Buscemi was attacked in Kips Bay last week. Buscemi was punched seemingly at random, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was treated for swelling to his face and left eye. The man volunteered at Ground Zero, don’t do him like that. “Steve Buscemi was assaulted in Mid-Town Manhattan, another victim of a random act of violence in the city,” his publicist said in a statement. “He is ok and appreciates everyone’s well wishes, though incredibly sad for everyone that this has happened to while also walking the streets of New York.” Shoutout to all the New Yorkers who don’t punch anybody, let alone beloved actor Steve Buscemi, every day. There are more of you, statistically speaking.
