Do I need this?
Yes. While I wish I could spend $650 on a striped, asymmetric JW Anderson skirt or a pair of twisted-seam workwear jeans (they’ve been in my Neiman Marcus cart for weeks now), that isn’t feasible or responsible for me. Luckily, this collaboration features similar styles like a belted skirt and loose-fitting trousers with a wide leg. Prices range from $8 to $80. Let’s browse through a few key pieces.
I told myself “No more skirts!” this season because I have an extensive arsenal taking up an entire side closet in my apartment. However, this linen-blend skirt from the collaboration just became my new go-to. I wasn’t expecting to fall in love so quickly. Below is my favorite piece from the collection.
JW Anderson x UNIQLO Linen Blend Belted Flared Skirt
An inner-waist drawstring and high rise cinched my shape perfectly without digging into my skin, thanks to an elastic waistband. The wide A-line cut looked like a match made in heaven with a vintage blazer and thigh-high boots. I’m going to style this with billowy button-downs and cutout tank tops during summer.

I’m not typically a polo-shirt type of gal, but I couldn’t resist the subtle femininity of this short-sleeved option from the collection. I took a size medium, and it has a roomier fit. I love the sleek skipper neckline and accent stripes at the collar that felt like Anderson’s special touch.

JW Anderson x UNIQLO Cotton Jacket
In my opinion, you can never have too many blazers in your wardrobe, especially if you collect ones in different fabrics, weights, prints, and hues. This cotton iteration, for example, is lightweight enough to wear solo or layer atop a simple ribbed tank top for the hotter months. I love the relaxed fit and the JW Anderson–embossed buttons. My husband could finally steal this unisex piece from me for a change.

JW Anderson x Uniqlo Linen Blend Relaxed Pants
These relaxed trousers are unisex and come in linen-blend fabric with a twill weave throughout, offering a hint of texture. They feature a straight cut and wide leg. (I wish I sized up one to embrace that effortless Parisian je ne sais quoi.) Although they aren’t my favorite fit, the creamy color is fabulous for summer, and the fabric feels breathable and comfortable on the skin.

This collection is available Thursday, April 18, both in store and online. We recommend going in person to try on newer silhouettes and ordering your usual size online if you have it handy.

When the teaser of the collaboration was shared on social media on April 2, it quickly caught the attention of JW Anderson fans. Many echoed my sentiments that despite loving the design house, “this is the only JWA I can afford.” Others left fire-sign emojis and noted that they had the launch date marked in the calendars, prepared to shop.

Fans of both brands, as excited as they are, were a bit disappointed to see the menswear size range reduced. Many of the menswear pieces go up to a size XL, while JW is known to have menswear up to a size 2X. Some fans are hoping more sizes will be released.
