sstavsky has added a photo to the pool:

At left, we see (on West 59th Street) the Central Park statue of Simón Bolívar (1783- 1830), the Venezuelan military and political leader who led what are currently the countries of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Panama, and Bolivia to independence from the Spanish Empire. This bronze sculpture by Sally James Farnham, resting on a black granite pedestal designed by the firm Clarke and Rapuano, was cast in 1919, and dedicated in 1921.
