Con Edison spills 1K gallons of oil into Bronx River, cleanup ongoing a week later

Oil can be seen sitting atop the water in the Bronx River after a ConEd spill on April 1, 2024.

A spokesperson for the utility company said the oil was "non-hazardous" and came from one of its transmission feeder lines in Yonkers. [ more › ]
