Tribute to country icons
“Trailblazing Women of Country: A tribute to Patsy, Loretta and Dolly” is at 7:30 p.m. April 5 at Elgin Community College in Elgin. Tickets are $42. At 1700 Spartan Drive. 847-622-0300; tickets.elgin.edu.
This show pays homage to three trailblazing country music legends: Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton. They topped the charts, broke records and blazed a trail for future generations of female artists. The show also features Miko Marks, CMT’s 2022 Next Woman of Country and Nashville-based singer Kristina Train, supported by an all-woman band.
Award-winning drummer
Tisra: Zakir Hussain with Debopriya Chatterjee and Sabir Khan perform at 7 p.m. April 7 at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at College of Lake County in Grayslake. Tickets are $22-$45. At 19351 W. Washington St. 847-543-2300; jlcenter.clcillinois.edu.
Fresh off his win of three Grammy Awards at the 2024 ceremony, tabla drummer Hussain, considered the “presiding genius and global ambassador for North Indian classical music,” performs with Kahn, a 10th-generation sarangi player and Chatterjee, an award-winning flautist and bansuri player.
In the 1970s, Hussain collaborated with George Harrison, Van Morrison and Earth, Wind and Fire.
Eclipse party
The Forest Preserve District of Will County offers a Solar-bration: Solar Eclipse Viewing Party at Goodenow Grove Nature Center in Beecher from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. April 8. Admission is free. At 27064 S. Dutton Road. 708-946-2216; reconnectwithnature.org.
Stand in the shadow of the moon to view the last total solar eclipse visible from North America until 2044. The first 50 attendees will receive free viewing glasses. Guests will learn about the eclipse join a marshmallow roast marshmallows around a campfire. The program will not take place if there is heavy cloud cover or rain.
No more lovin’ feelins’
The Righteous Brothers Lovin’ Feelin’ Farewell Tour is at 7:30 p.m. April 10 at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles. Tickets are $49-$99. At 105 E. Main St. 630-962 7000; arcadalive.com.

Manic comic
Comedian Tom Green takes the stage at 7 p.m. April 7 at the Hobart Art Theatre in Hobart. Tickets are $40-$55. At 230 Main St. brickartlive.com.
Green is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, actor and television personality; known for hosting “The Tom Green Show” on MTV in the 1990s. Now, he lives on a farm in his native Canada and documents his life through videos and blog posts.
