Park Ridge police: Two teens arrested for making threats, sedan drives on golf course



The following items were taken from Park Ridge Police Department reports. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Domestic battery

A 33-year-old Park Ridge man was arrested for domestic battery on the 300 block of South Vine Avenue on March 10 at 8:30 p.m.

Criminal trespass to vehicle

On video footage, an unknown man entered an unlocked 2022 Subaru and a 2021 Subaru on Feb. 28 at approximately 4:54 a.m. in the 1300 block of Linden Avenue. The suspect entered both vehicles through the driver’s side door, but nothing was found to be missing.

Skimmer device

A customer discovered a skimming device located on a Huntington Bank ATM at the Jewel Osco at 481 Busse Highway on March 1 at 10:38 a.m. The machine had been previously serviced on Feb. 23 and did not appear to have been tampered with.

Burglary

Park Ridge police responded to an alarm at HQ Sneakers at 137 N. Northwest Highway and discovered the rear door had been forcibly opened on March 5 at 3:32 a.m. Property was taken by an unknown offender.

Theft under $500

A victim had items removed from their locker at FFC Park Ridge at 826 W. Touhy Avenue on March 5.

Attempted burglary

Park Ridge police were contacted by the owner of HQ Sneakers on March 5 at 10:56 p.m. The owner showed them surveillance tape of two unknown men on the premise attempt to forcibly enter the rear door. Both subjects were wearing masks and gloves. One of the offenders had a yellow colored pry tool and the other offender had a large yellow bag. Both offenders left before police arrived.

Criminal damage to property

An unknown offender drove a grey sedan onto the Park Ridge Country Club golf course causing damage in multiple sections of the course before fleeing the scene on March 7 at approximately 10:45 a.m. at 846 N. Fairview Avenue.

Disorderly conduct

A 16-year-old Niles teen was arrested for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct for threatening a building and people on the 7300 block of West Crain Street in Niles on March 4 at 8:24 a.m.

A 17-year-old Des Plaines teen was arrested for disorderly conduct for threatening a building and people on the 4900 block of Cermak Avenue in Cicero on March 6 at 8:20 p.m.

Violation of order of protection

A 42-year-old Maywood man was arrested for violating an order of protection on the 600 block of Devon Avenue on March 4 at 2:55 p.m.

Driving on a suspended license

A 27-year-old Skokie woman was arrested for driving on a suspended license on the 2300 block of Dempster Street in Des Plaines on March 9 at 8:25 a.m. She also had expired license plates.

A 35-year-old man from Meridian, Mississippi, was arrested for driving on a suspended license and speeding 21-25 mph over the limit on the 1500 block of Higgins Road on March 9 at 12:30 p.m.

Unlawful possession of cannabis

A 28-year-old man from River Grove was arrested for the unlawful possession of cannabis and the improper use of a turn signal in the 1700 block of West Dempster Street on March 9 at 2:52 p.m.
