East Chicago Central surges to the top as four teams settle for shares of the Duneland Athletic Conference title.

Dominique Murphy and the Cardinals, riding a 12-game winning streak, ascend to the top.

2. Valparaiso 18-5 (2)

Jack Smiley posts 17 points, six rebounds and six assists in the Duneland Athletic Conference quad-champion’s win against Chesterton.

3. Lake Central 17-3 (4)

Jake Smith contributes 13 points in the DAC quad-champion’s win against Crown Point.

4. Crown Point 15-5 (1)

A loss to Lake Central means the Bulldogs settle for being quad-champions in the DAC.

5. Merrillville 15-7 (5)

Preston Saia goes for 24 points in the DAC quad-champion’s win against Michigan City.

6. Bishop Noll 16-7 (6) 

Caleb Parks records 15 points, five rebounds and six assists in the Warriors’ loss to East Chicago Central.

7. Munster 15-8 (7)

David Cundiff and the Mustangs wrap up their seventh straight Northwest Crossroads Conference title with a win against Hanover Central.

8. Portage 14-8 (8)

Jaelyn Johnson records 21 points and 14 rebounds in the Indians’ win against LaPorte.

9. Chesterton 13-9 (9)

Tyler Parrish pours in 33 points in the Trojans’ loss to Valparaiso.

10. 21st Century 16-6 (10)

Lemetrius Williams hits a 3-pointer in the waning seconds to lift the Cougars over Culver Academies for their ninth win in a row.

Player of the Week

Senior guard Cam Webster becomes Kankakee Valley’s career scoring leader, averaging 25.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 5.5 steals in weekend wins against Hanover Central and McCutcheon.
