Well, I wouldn’t let a literal speech writer for Barack Obama anywhere near Final Tribal Council … Lovett or Leave It podcast host Jon Lovett will appear on the next season of Survivor. This news arrives with little fanfare — in the teaser for the upcoming season that premiered after last night’s Survivor 46 finale, Lovett is just grouped in with the normies, talking about how bad he is at camping. “I have no outdoor skills,” he says. “What am I doing here? I went camping as a cub scout. I threw up and went home.” Okay, funny, get this guy a mic.

There’s no way to know how Ronan Farrow’s ex will do on the show at this point, even if you look at spoilers —the season just started filming one week ago, according to Entertainment Weekly, and it won’t be on TV until fall. However, it is kind of surprising that a guy who hosts a podcast about politics is taking a break to film a reality TV competition during an election year, we’ll be real. If we’re being totally real here, I’d predict he’s out in the early merge. He’s too much of a threat at FTC to let it get there, and it’s not like he’s going to win any immunity challenges. Prove me wrong, Lovett!
