2 gunshot victims self-transported to hospital after a call of a double shooting on North Side

Two men got themselves to the hospital after police were called to a shooting Wednesday night in an alley in the Edgewater neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 8 p.m., police were called to the 6000 block of North Kenmore Avenue in an alley. Before police arrived an 20-year-old man and another man, 23, got themselves to Swedish Covenant Hospital after being hit by gunfire, police said.

The oldest victim suffered a wound to the chest, and was listed in serious condition. The other man suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, and was listed in fair condition. Both men were transferred to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment.

Both victim were uncooperative with police, and detectives were investigating.
