Ron Howard, John Carpenter, and More Remember Roger Corman

The film industry is mourning the loss of Roger Corman, the prolific independent filmmaker and king of B-movies, following his death on May 9 at the age of 98. With a sprawling collection of work as a director and producer, he worked with and influenced countless notable filmmakers, many of whom are now sharing their tributes and memories of working with and learning from Corman. “When I was 23 he gave me my 1st shot at directing. He launched many careers [and] quietly lead our industry in important ways,” Ron Howard shared on Twitter. Fellow horror director John Carpenter also remembered Corman’s impact, writing, “It was my privilege to know him… He shaped my childhood with science fiction movies and Edgar Allen Poe epics.” Below, find tributes to the legendary filmmaker from William Shatner, Joe Russo, Nancy Sinatra and more.
