Taylor Swift has been getting increasingly sporty since she started dating Travis Kelce. First, she infiltrated the NFL (remember the Swiftie Bowl?). Then, there was all that talk about potentially getting invested in Formula One: Per Page Six, she and “the guy on the Chiefs” reportedly had plans to attend this year’s Monaco Grand Prix. And now, the pop star seems to be watching gymnastics for several good reasons — chief among them, the sport’s leading figure Simone Biles. All season, the 27-year-old has been performing a fan-favorite floor routine set to Swift’s “…Ready for It?” as a wink to her impending Olympic comeback. On Friday night, Biles took the routine to the biggest stage of the year so far, pulling in a score of 14.850 at the Olympic Trials, propelling her to the top of the leaderboard, and attracting the attention of Swift herself.
“Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho,” Swift tweeted on Saturday in response to a video from NBC Sports. Also, there were emojis. A lot of them. Three clapping hands, a gold medal, an American flag, and a red heart. Patriotism!

Of course, the two women have brushed shoulders before. Biles is married to former Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens, and frequently supports him at games (though he’s since been traded to the Chicago Bears). In December, according to Us Weekly, Swift and Biles met while attending the Chiefs and Packers matchup to cheer on their dudes. Seems like they bonded enough for Biles to go full-blown Swiftie for her Olympic campaign. In fact, the way things are looking at the Trials as of Sunday evening, Biles is all but confirmed to be selected to the Olympic team. Maybe Taylor is her lucky charm … not that someone like Biles needs luck.
