Much like the messy first season of The Valley, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s marriage has (at least for now) come to an end. But their recently opened sports bar Jax’s Studio City still stands like a morbid memento of their crumbling relationship. As viewers of the Vanderpump Rules spinoff have heard all season, Cartwright repeatedly asked Taylor for more insight into the bar’s progress and involvement in its planning. But now that the series’ finale episode chronicling the bar’s soft launch has aired — and “Page Six” reports that negative reviews are flooding in — it seems Taylor really should’ve listened to his estranged wife’s opinions.
While the bar first opened in October, “Page Six” noted Thursday that some of the reviews pouring in since its debut have harped on “barely edible food” and “terrible service.” “waited over 2 hours for food. never got it but all the sections did. didn’t even receive an apology for the terrible service,” one patron fumed alongside a one-star rating. Another dissatisfied customer wrote, “absolutely everything sucked. from food to staff to space to owner. i will never be returning.” Ouch!
“Everyone was so rude, we were SO DISAPPOINTED,” a third reviewer wrote. “We had left after 10 minutes and will never go back. Definitely need to hire better people to represent your bar. Not a good look. Never had such a horrible experience.”
With just 104 reviews, Jax’s is currently averaging 3.8 stars, which isn’t as deplorable as I’d expected. To balance out some of the negative reviews, there are some seemingly happy Bravo fans who had “the best time” and were thrilled to see The Valley cast members on hand. Still, Brittany always deserved better than a bar with generic palm frond wallpaper named solely after her partner. And if we’re being honest, she always deserved better than the bar’s namesake, too. Can’t wait to see what revenge eatery Brittany launches. Mamaw’s beer cheese sans Jax, perhaps?
