Joe Jonas seems to have bounced back from his “saddies.” According to a report in “Page Six” Tuesday, the boyband wunderkind has been flirting with Demi Moore in a friendly way, but also sort of in a romantic way. These sources are confused! The unlikely friendship apparently blossomed at the Cannes Film Festival, where Moore and her tiny chihuahua Pilaf were the toast of the town. The 61-year-old was onhand to promote her upcoming horror film The Substance, but also found time to host the event’s annual amfAR gala. Nick Jonas was scheduled to perform that evening, but Joe made a surprise appearance that seems to have excited Moore, who was seen dancing out of her seat alongside Michelle Yeoh. “Cake by the Ocean” will do that to you, I hear.
Per “Page Six,” Demi and Joe were later seen having lunch together at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France — both inconveniently wearing sunglasses, so I cannot tell if they were exchanging loving glances or not. “Demi and Joe have struck up a friendship,” one source noted. “They have mutual friends and they bonded.” (Those mutuals are reportedly stylist Brad Goreski and her manager Jason Weinberg.) Meanwhile, another source told the outlet that things between the two are “already getting romantic,” though that individual made it clear they had not yet consummated their connection. Good to know!
Jonas, who is 34, is obviously fresh off a divorce and tense custody battle with ex Sophie Turner, as well as a recent breakup with model Stormi Bree (who also happens to be the ex of Nara Smith’s current husband Lucky Blue). Moore, for her part, has been mostly single since her divorce from Ashton Kutcher in 2011, though she has remained close with her second husband Bruce Willis, who is currently suffering from dementia. Will this be the next big age gap relationship? Probably not. Still, this would be an … interesting coupling. Sue me for needing a little distraction from the rumored dissolution of Bennifer!
