Nicki Minaj really wants to embrace the culture of every country she visits on tour. During her Birmingham, UK concert, just one day after being arrested in Amsterdam, Minaj led a moment of silence for the late Princess Diana of Wales. In between songs, Minaj would talk to her fans directly, asking where they were from. One attendee shared they were from Wales, to which Minaj gave a smile and a handheart in response. “Wales… It reminds me of a dear friend of mine. Well, she’s not here anymore, the Princess of Wales,” said Minaj in a British accent. “Let’s have a moment of silence for her.” Minaj was fourteen when Princess Diana died, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t friends. A teenage John Mulaney was a suspect in her death, so anything is possible.
