Red, White & Royal Blue Gets One More Term

The United States and the United Kingdom are on a mission to end homophobia together, and by that we mean there’s another Red, White & Royal Blue movie in the works. The sequel will again star man-statue Taylor Zakhar Perez as Alex and recently outed (as straight) actor Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Henry. Galitzine recently noted to GQ that he feels “perhaps guilt” for performing queer roles. Anyway, Matthew Lopez, the writer-director of the first film, is again attached to write the script, this time with Casey McQuiston, who wrote the book RWRB is based on. The film is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios. There are no official plot details released about the film yet. If they want to opt for a more accurate depiction of gay men after the honeymoon period of their relationship, we have some ideas:

– Alex and Prince Henry start a throuple with the prince of Spain
– Alex and Prince Henry adopt a monstera plant
– Prince Henry gets mad after Alex won’t go to the Eras Tour with him because Alex wants to go to a showing of Jawbreaker mediated by Parker Posey in Brooklyn that night
– Prince Henry watches an episode of Drag Race without waiting for Alex, and it blows up into a fight about something else entirely
– Alex is a little too into his Barry’s instructor and it’s not fully inappropriate, but it does make Prince Henry a little uncomfortable
– Alex and Prince Henry discuss whether preventative Botox is a scam, ultimately both get it
– Big is moving to Paris
