Hard to believe these Bombardier R142 cars have been around for just over 20 years. The cars that replaced the famed St Louis Car Company "Redbirds" have now become a fixture on the IRT lines in their own right. An Eastchester/Dyre Avenue bound 5 train made up of the aforementioned R142s is seen pulling into the West Farms Sq-E Tremont Av station on the IRT White Plains Road Line.
