Homeless advocates blast NYC for allowing some migrants to sleep outside in 20-degree weather



The green awning of St. Brigids, a former school in the East Village where migrants are lining up to get shelter placement.

Some migrants say they are sleeping overnight outside of the facility so they don't lose their place in line.

The Legal Aid Society and the Coalition for the Homeless called on the city to rectify the situation outside a reticketing center in the East Village. [ more › ]
