Police increase patrols at Long Island synagogues, temples ahead of High Holy Days

LONG BEACH, N.Y. — Police on Lengthy Island have elevated patrols at synagogues and temples forward of the Excessive Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
